What is Demi-Fine Jewelry?

Demi-fine jewelry is a term used to describe high quality jewelry that is between inexpensive/ cheap costume jewelry and extremely expensive jewelry made with solid gold, pure silver, and precious stones.

Demi-fine is marked with high quality semi-precious and precious gemstones, and metals that fall in the middle. This jewelry is typically made with sterling silver, gold vermeil, gold-filled brass, etc. Because these metals aren't pure, they are more affordable, but quality is still very important.

Some of my favorite semi-precious gemstones are opal, peridot, garnet, amethyst, topaz, and freshwater pearls.
