Mountainside

Rocks sprinkled along the mountain sit like polka dots in between wild flowers, prickly pear, and tufts of wild grass.  Gravel sprinkled along the slope makes for a dangerous climb.  Flecks of Micah scattered in the gravel shimmer under the sun's glow.  An old log from a dead pine tree lays perpendicular along the slope.  Rocks and debris slid down and were caught on the top of the log, creating a platform of dirt and grass.  The breeze whistles as it blows up the rock face.  The wind creates a hostile environment that can't support much more than gravel and wild grass.
