Perseids

The summer air was still warm from the heat of the day at 11:00 pm at night.  We laid out on the grass with our heads staring up into the sky toward the north, watching and waiting.  Perseids puts on it's annual show in August, showering the night sky with shooting stars. You hold your breath as your eyes dart across the sky watching for the next comet to streak across the sky. Summer night air surrounding your skin with warmth and a touch of cool as the temperature dips in the absence of the sun. Perseids continues late into the night and the early morning, performing for anyone who wants to wait and watch.
